Guiding Local Youth Towards A Brighter Future

Can we donate $10 in your name to support local young adults aging out of the foster care system? Our agency is joining the efforts of Liberty Dwelling to provide safe and comfortable homes and a variety of other services to those that call this place home.

According to the Department of Family and Children Services, 54 out of 4,000 children currently living in foster care in Louisiana reside in Terrebonne and Lafourche parishes, and 15 are set to age out of the system within the next year. With limited options available, these people find themselves with no homes, jobs or education.Eloise Collins has built a place where these members of our community can feel at home and receive guidance, resources necessary to continue their education and learn the essential life skills including cooking, sewing, maintaining a budget and more. Eloise aims to teach them through her counseling services and allow them to live at Liberty Dwelling until they around the age of 25 or until they are ready to handle life on their own! “We are proud to join the efforts of Eloise and help guide these young adults to ultimately help them live a full life by providing them with the necessary tools to do so.”
